The "Batch Rename" plugin is available for Adobe Premiere Pro and enables you new possibilities to simplify the organization of the clips and sources in your project. Select your clips and use the plugin to batch rename your clips faster. Replace words in your source files or add dates and custom text to your clip names. The plugin offers more options to optimize big Premiere Pro productions. Optimized for the needs of assistant editors.

With this function you can search for a string in the selected clipnames and replace it with any new text. This way you can e.g. remove file extensions or replace certain words.
Use this function to add an text to clip names. The new text can be placed either before or after the previous clip name.
With this function a certain number of characters can be removed from the existing clip name. Either from the beginning or counted from the end.
Use this function to create custom clips names with sequential numbers. The name can contain any characters. Select the value from which to count and with how many digits to count. The name can be written either before or after the existing clip name.
This function allows you to add the current date to a clip name. Choose the desired format from various date formats and separators. You can then write the date before or after the existing clip name.
You can restore the clip names and set them back to the original source file name. This function does not work for bins, sequences or multicam-clips.
We offer two different licenses. The single user license is for freelancers who want to use the plugin on one or two computers. This license is bound to one user. For companies we offer the business license which is bound to the company and allows to use the plugin on multiple computers and for up to 5 employees.

You can activate the plugin panel in Premiere Pro menu under "Window > Extensions > Batch Rename".
We tested it on Premiere Pro 2021, 2022 and 2023. Older version might work as well, but we can not quarantee that at the moment. If you are using an older version of Premiere Pro, please let us know how your experience is.
The plugin was written for Windows 10 and MacOS 12 (Montery). This does not exclude other versions for now, but we cannot exclude trial issues when using with older versions. If you are using an older operating system, please let us know how your experience is.
